Learn more about employment opportunities, AmeriCorps positions, and internships at the Housing Development Alliance.

The Housing Development Alliance, or HDA, is a well-established nonprofit affordable housing developer serving southeastern Kentucky. Our headquarters is located in Hazard, and we serve the counties of Breathitt, Knott, Leslie, and Perry. Having served the area for 30 years, HDA is one of the region’s oldest and most respected nonprofit organizations. We’ve also grown to become one of the largest nonprofit affordable housing developers in the state of Kentucky. HDA operates an affordable homeownership program, a home repair program, develops and manages rental units, and operates a paid on-the-job training program for men and women in substance use recovery. In response to the July 2022 floods, HDA continues to build and repair homes for East Kentucky flood survivors along with our ongoing services for low-income people in need of affordable housing.

HDA provides living wage jobs with full benefits. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, (including pregnancy, gender identity, and sexual orientation), national origin, citizenship, disability, military leave or veteran status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable federal, state, or local law.
